Toronto Maple Leafs

Leafs Director of Player Personnel Rick Dudley was at last night’s game in Columbus, and sources told him that Toronto is interested in the 24 year old center.

This report is conspicuous after the mention by Sportsnet’s Jeff Marek earlier in the week of rumors of a Brassard for Nazem Kadri deal popping up in recent days.

Brian Burke’s holiday trade freeze takes effect tonight after the Leafs game in Washington, so it is unlikely that a deal involving Toronto will happen in the next 10 hours, but Brassard is clearly in need of a change of scenery and it will not be long before he is moved.

Doubtful as Kadri just finished being named Reebok’s AHL player of the Month for November.

I don’t believe it as much as others do, but it does seem possible. I don’t think Kadri would be traded for Brassard...
