Washington, Leafs hoping to turn tide.
Tonight at the ACC with feature two teams, both looking to turn slumps around.
Washington has gone 3-6-1 in their last 10, a far fry from the way they started the season while Toronto has lost 5 of the last 6, a drought that has cost them the Lead in the North East Division.
The Leafs will face a tough task of playing without a number of key players, Komisarek is out for 2 months with a broken arm, Lombardi is out at least 3 weeks. MAcArthur might be back Tuseday, but Grabovski is out for about 2 weeks. Armstrong is also still working his way back.
Of course the best news for the Leafs is that James Reimer was skating again, but by all accounts he won’t be in game form for at the very least 10 days.
This means that Cody Franson might actually get some play time and Joe Colbourne will get the call up. By the sounds of things, another D man , Marlies Holzer is also being called up, may be in the line up tonight.
Colbourne will be on the 4th with Joey Crabb, it would be very interesting to see if that can create some of the magic they had at the beginning of the Marlies season.
Can the Leafs stop the bleeding? Gustavsson in net, Washington 5-2.
